Mary Jane Browning, 77, of Hopewell Township, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, in her home. She was born August 8, 1947, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Eugene and Betty Dowling.
She was a 1969 graduate of California University with a degree in psychology. She was a lifelong member of the ZTA Sorority.
Mary worked as a substitute elementary teacher for both Aliquippa and Hopewell school districts. She eventually became a librarian at Aliquippa School District.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, H. Richard Browning; her daughter, Lori Browning of Virgina; her lovely cat, “The Wild Thing”; and many friends and relatives.
As were her wishes, all services are private.
