Mr. Charles A. Valentic, 77, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly, Sunday, October 6, 2024, in his residence.

Charles was born December 11, 1946, in Brownsville.

He graduated from Red Stone High School, Class of 1964.

Charles was previously married to Bonnie A. Capin Valentic. She preceded him in death September 27, 2000.

Charles was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

He worked for Clyde Mine in Fredericktown as a coal miner for 19 years. He retired from United Defense of Uniontown.

Charles was a member of St. Therese Church.

He also belonged to the AMVETS George C. Marshall Post 103 and the Hutchinson Sportsman Club.

Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He enjoyed watching all sports, and especially watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his two sons and a daughter, Martin Valentic and wife Jennifer, Rich Valentic and wife Michele, both of Canonsburg, Julie Tupta and husband Jim; his long-time, loving partner, Mary Ann Carbonara of Uniontown; seven grandchildren, Josh Valentic and wife Leah of Franklin Park, Nick Valentic and wife Amanda of Washington, Lauren Valentic of Canonsburg, Nolan and Brooke Valentic of Canonsburg, Drew and Abram Tupta of Uniontown; three great- grandchildren, Grady, Parker and Charlotte; and close family, Donna Hidock of Morgantown, W.Va., and Tom Hidock and wife Peggy of Fairchance; and his best friend, Buzzy, his beloved dog.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth.

Viewing for Charles will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 10, in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 11, in St. Therese Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fayette Friends of Animals, 223 Searight Herbert Road, Uniontown, PA 15401.
