Darlene “Gram” Kay Troisi, 75, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 8, 2024, with daughter, Jamie and granddaughter, Gabriella Rankin by her side.

Darlene, the loving matriarch of her family, was born in Greene County, a daughter of the late Lucien Mickey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “JR” Troisi; and grandson, Nicholas Kendall.

She is survived by her children: her daughter, Jamie Rankin of Uniontown; daughter, Lori Kendall and husband Kevin of Charleroi; son, James Troisi of Pittsburgh; Rolly Thorpe and wife Brittany of Lemont Furnace; 10 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren; siblings, Marlene Novak of Fairchance, Diane Riggen and Butch of Smithfield, Jim Mickey and Patty of Smithfield, Joe Mickey of Greene County, Denise Mickey of Connellsville; several nieces and nephews; and also her pets, Boss and Scarlett.

Darlene, a guiding force and loving mother, will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. When not tending to her family she could be found at a Cash and Gun Bash, Moose Lodge, or the Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club. She was a member of the Dunlap Creek Presbyterian Church.

Family and friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, in the GATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY LLC, 136 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, where words of comfort will be offered at 11 a.m. Private interment will take place at a later date.
