William F. Fisher Jr., 66, of Hopwood, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, with his loving wife, Peggy by his side.
He was born August 28, 1958, in Brownsville, a son of Anna Welsh Fisher of Hopwood and the late William Fisher Sr.
William is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy” Fisher; son, William F. Fisher III (Crystal); and daughter, Heather (Eric); stepson, Walt Grimes (Gidget); seven grandchildren; and siblings, Bob Fisher of Footedale, Anna Marie Griest of McClellandtown, Tommy Fisher of Royal, Gary Fisher (Kook) of Ralph, Debbie Miller (Raymond) of Hopwood, and Betty Jo McConnell of Grindstone; and many special nieces and nephews.
William served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Fayco Rentals and a member of Rivervalley Abate for over 20 years.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, where additional visitation will be held from 9 until the 10 a.m. hour of a funeral service Thursday, October 17, with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Cemetery, with military honors.
