Dorothy Orange, 81, of Point Marion, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 3, 2024, in her home. Born in Nilan May 12, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Claudine Umble Rocerick and Oliver Roderick, Sr.

A 1961 graduate of Bridgeton High School in New Jersey, Dorothy had worked for Owen-Illinois and Kerr Glass in New Jersey, and later at Uniontown Hospital and Volkswagon, and also in area nursing homes as a certified nurses’ aide, in addition to personal home health care.

She is survived by her two children, Mark Petrunis and wife Lorraine of Bridgeton, and Lori Orange-Heminger and husband Charles of Point Marion; two grandchildren, Jacob Nestor and Sabrina Petrunis; five stepgrandchildren, Paul, Samantha, Dominic, Garrett and Jocelyn; a brother, Clark Roderick and wife Debbie of Fairchance; three sisters and their husbands, Florence and Harry Pritchett of Melbourne, Fla., Linda and John Frederick of Smithfield, and Twila and John Cassi of Point Marion; and a number of loving nieces and nephews and their families.

Also deceased is a brother, Oliver Roderick, Jr.; and two sisters, Lillian Roderick and Karen Baker.

Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. hour of a memorial service Saturday, October 19, in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, with the Rev. French Jenkins officiating. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva.

Memorials may be offered to 365 Hospice, with the family’s appreciation for the care given to Dorothy at her time of need.
