Point Marion

Elena Marie “Suzie” Gould, 75, of Point Marion, Pa., passed away peacefully Monday, October 21, 2024, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, with her loving children and grandchildren by her side.

Born in Uniontown, PA on October 12, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert “Willie” Gould (deceased 1986) and Lillian “Jill” (Newman) Gould (deceased 2003).

Suzie was a devoted and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandson were her entire world. They gave her strength during the rough days and laughter and joy at all times. Suzie’s role as mother and grandmother lovingly emphasized unconditional love, strength, and generosity and extended beyond her immediate family to encircle a wide range of “adopted” grandchildren as well. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and providing hours of entertainment and long nights of junk food and Texas sheet cake.

Left to cherish her memory are: her brother, Willie Gould whom she loved and admired and his wife Lisa of Carmichaels; two daughters, Kathy (Baird) Stucklen of Masontown and Becky Cerullo and husband Eric of Point Marion; five grandchildren, Gabrielle and Kevin Stucklen, Rodney Hall and wife Misty, Maison and Maddie Cerullo; one great-grandson, Logan Hall; two nephews, Ryan Gould and wife Beth and Zachary Gould; a niece, Tonee Girdis and husband Greg; great- nephews and niece, Jacob Gould, Grant Girdis and Olivia Girdis.

A celebration of life for Susie will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion.
