Fallowfield Township

Timothy “Cakes” Malie, 66, of Fallowfield Township, passed away peacefully, with Debby and his brother, Pat at his side, Monday, October 28, 2024.

He was born May 3, 1958, in Charleroi, to the late Frank and Doris Mangino Malie.

He was also predeceased by his fur buddies, Newt, Coco, Sparky, Fred, Viola, Bella, Bones and Bug.

Tim owned and operated the Amoco station in Fayette City for many years then TRM Automotive, working on cars doing body work and selling car trailers at many shows in the U.S. particularly Carlisle.

He met his soulmate, Debby Catanzaro, when she bought the home next to his in Fallowfield Township. They loved and respected each other for 32 groovy years and enjoyed countless road trips. Their favorites were the Smokey Mountains, Florida, Arizona and shopping in Mexico.

He is survived by the love of his life, Debby Catanzaro; their chiweenie, Pee Wee Pearl; his brother, Patrick and wife Patty Malie; nieces, Linda and Jill; nephew, Pete; and great-nephews, Sam, Max and Milo.

Tim loved all animals, especially dogs, mainly chihuahuas and wiener dogs. He is definitely up there in Heaven telling stories and having some laughs with friends who have passed: Johnny, George, Carla, Blair, Jim Hagerty and Smitty.

Per Jim’s request, there will be no services. He only requests that the next time you are in church or any public place to fart loudly and make somebody laugh!

Memorial donations, in his name, may be made to Catnip Acres, 1159 Morris Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370.

The family would like to thank the staff of OSPTA Hospice for their compassionate care, especially Brittany, Kelsey and Jessica.

“If the sun refused to shine I would still be loving you. If mountains crumble to the sea there will still be you and me”. “We had a groovy kind of love”. Miss you always. “GREEN GRASS AND HIGH TIDES FOREVER”!

Arrangements are entrusted to the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.spallinofuneralhome.com
