Gene Handlin, 78, of Smithfield, passed away at home, with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

He was born February 1, 1947 in Uniontown.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 48 years, Debra Braddee Handlin; and his parents, Charles Handlin and Betty Tallentire Handlin.

Surviving are his brother, John (Theresa) Handlin; sister, Misty (Rick) Hajek; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18. The Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bryan Kelley officiating.
