Samantha A. Vereb, 97, of Brownsville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Laurel Ridge Center in Uniontown, with her family by her side. Samantha was born August 14, 1927, to the late John and Harriet Duvall.

Samantha was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville.

Surviving to cherish Samantha’s memory are her children, Sherry (Ernest) L. Walters, Elmer “Buzz” (Glenda) L. Kisner III, and Harriet (Terry) J. Hayes; her grandchildren, Tammy (Bruce) Cable, Brian Harvey, Amy (George) Smith, Rebecca Hook, Jeff Kopf, Wes Kopf; her stepdaughter, Paulette (Jerry) Stewart; along with numerous great- grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Samantha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Vereb; her brothers, the Rev. John Duvall and Harry Duvall; and her stepson, Jack J. Vereb.

Per Samantha’s wishes, all arrangements have been held privately at the NOVAK- MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417. Private interment will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park.
