Uniontown

Karen Albert, 77, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Uniontown Hospital, with her loving family at her side. She was born December 23, 1947, in Pittsburgh, to the late Joseph Kotchey and Irene Zajdel Kotchey.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, James Albert III; son, James Albert IV; and daughter, Kathryn Irene Partin (Dalton) of Lexington, Ky.

Karen was a caring and devoted wife and mother. She had a deep affection for animals, enjoyed gardening and cooking, and was an avid reader. She will be deeply missed.

To honor Karen’s wishes, funeral services will be private under the direction of the GATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 136 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown.

Memorial contributions may be made, in her name, to the Fayette Friends of Animals of Uniontown.
