Earl M. Bosley, Jr., 79, of Hopwood, was called to be with his Lord Friday, January 31, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, in Uniontown Health and Rehabilitation Center. Earl was born August 7, 1945, in Connellsville, a son of Earl M. Bosley, Sr. and Martha Stehle Bosley.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha Kay Bosley; first wife, Mary Bosley, and their infant daughter, Autumn Sue Bosley.
Earl graduated from Connellsville High School in 1963 and enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
After his discharge, he worked many years in the local coal mines, retiring as a supervisor. After his retirement, he went on to become an X-ray tech at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
Earl enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting trains and guns, as well as spending quality time with his loving family.
He was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post #103 in Hopwood and the United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his second wife, Peggy Kennedy Bosley; his son, Dennis Bosley (Kim) of Akron, Ohio; his stepdaughters, Michelle Hughes (Cody) of Mt. Pleasant, and Kristen Bramson (Dave) of Harrison City; his loving grandchildren, Meghan, Aaron and Dylan Bosley; his stepgrandchildren, Emily and Lucas Bramson; a sister, Pat Tobal of Hopwood; and a brother, Tom Elleard of Uniontown. He also cherished many memories with all of his extended family; and his devoted dog and sidekick, Mac a.k.a. “Boots”.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, and from 10 until 11 a.m., the time of a service celebrating Earl’s life, Wednesday, February 5. Military rites will be accorded by AMVETS Post #103.
