Dorthea “Mimi” Irene Naypauer Springer, 95, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Friday, January 31, 2025. She was born July 1, 1929, in Uniontown.
Irene was predeceased by her parents, John A. Naypauer and Catherine Kuzniar Naypauer; her husband, James H. Springer; and sisters, Catherine Revak (Joe), and Viola Meyokovich (Mike).
Irene was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of its Christian Mothers.
In her earlier years she had worked at Martin’s Bakery, enjoyed bowling in the US Steel Bowling League, and most importantly, being a loving Mimi to her grandchildren. Irene loved gardening, and grew the most beautiful flowers. She loved talking about the importance of drinking water, walking, vitamins, and good nutrition. Irene was a great cook and was a very strong advocate of the importance of feeding the birds.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Timothy Springer, Lee Springer, and Lori Ann Moran (Ron) of Masontown; grandchildren, Andrew Bierer (Kathleen), Brandon Bierer (Loreal), Amanda Young (Ross), and Ashley Jenkins (Ryan); six great- grandchildren, Alexzander, Vada, Vienna, Aubree, Rylee and Jeffrey Andrew; sister, Jackie Fiano (Victor); and very special nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 7, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood.
