Tammy J. Sumey Boger, 57, of Chestnut Ridge, died Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her home with loving family at her side. She was born July 13, 1967, in Uniontown.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Curtis G. Sumey and Sarah Vandyke Sumey; brother, Paul Joseph Sumey; and sister, Trudy Diane Sumey.
Tammy was employed by Dollar General for over 20 years rising to the position of manager of a local Dollar General Store. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren lovingly called her “Bibi” or “Gigi”. Tammy enjoyed playing Bingo at both W. Leisenring and Footedale.
Surviving is her husband, Michael David Boger; son, Nicholas E. Sumey (Barb) of Chestnut Ridge; grandchildren: Tristan, Nicholas and Parker; four siblings: Curtis G. Sumey, Jr. (Cecilia), Richard Sumey (Nancy) and Rodney Sumey, all of Chestnut Ridge and Robin Kelley (Rick) of Buffington; sister-in-law, Lori Fisher (Wally) and kids; many nieces and nephews; and her many loving friends.
Friends will be received in the SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Tammy be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
