Ed Tate, 65 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
He was born December 28, 1959 in Uniontown, Pa.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Carson and Catherine Bartko Tate; brother Rich and sister Joyce.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Debbie; son, Nathan and wife Melissa; special grandson, Carson; brothers, Wayne and wife Joan, and Chad and Christina; several nieces and nephews and his loving dog and best buddy Remington.
Ed loved and was a longtime listener to Polkas on the radio; loved cooking for his family, gardening and was employed and enjoyed serving his customers at JG’s in Haydentown for many years.
The family will receive friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 3 to 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 7 p.m. with Minister Carl Desmartin officiating.
