Helen Mindek Sinko

Helen Mindek Sinko, 95, of Danville, Va., formerly of Masontown, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, in Stratford Health Center.
Mrs. Sinko was born October 11, 1929, in New Salem, to the late Anna Barron Mindek and John Mindek.
Helen was a longtime employee at Dolfi’s restaurant in Masontown, and is fondly remembered by many of her patrons and staff to this day. Her job was a beautiful memory of hers.
Mrs. Sinko is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Mike) Joyce; grandchildren, Nathan (Linlee) Butterworth, Tamara (Dave) Johnson, Jake (Jen) Migyanko, Sandra (Chad) Deems, Andrew (Alison) Migyanko; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Emma Butterworth, Noah and Tyler Johnson, Ian Migyanko, Landry and Lowry Migyanko; along with several other special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Sinko; daughter, Janet (Alex) Migyanko; and her sisters, Mary (Steve) Migyanko, and Kathrina (Paul) Underwood. She was the last of her generation.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff of Brookdale Assisted Living and Stratford Health & Rehab Center.
A family service will be held at a later date.
