Constance Louise Corder Walters, 93, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 6, 2025. Born December 2, 1931, to Paul and Louise Corder, Connie a was dedicated nurse, graduating from Uniontown Nursing School in 1953 and serving at Uniontown Hospital, Kane Hospital, and Lafayette Nursing Home.

Family was her greatest joy, and she took pride in her children and cherished her role as a loving mother and grandmother. Connie was a kind and generous person, always putting the needs of others before her own.

She enjoyed spending time with family, watching TV shows, reading, solving puzzles, gardening, and decorating for the holidays. She was known for her creativity, sense of humor, and warmth.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Karl Walters; her daughter, Wynn Ann Walters; her parents; and her siblings, Jocelyn Groves and Dr. Lynn K. Corder.

She is survived by her children, Wendy (Donald) Brown, Loren Wren Holchin, Whitney (Lori) Walters, and Weston (Colleen) Walters. She is also survived by her two sisters, Prue Schwirian and Courtney McCahill; and her sister- in-law, Dolores Corder; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held Saturday, January 11, in ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. Friends and family may visit from 12 noon to 2 p.m., the time of a memorial service.

In honor of Connie’s lifelong generosity, donations may be made, in her name, to Alzheimer’s Association.
