Patricia “Patty” McClelland, 82, of Uniontown, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, in her home. Patricia was born September 6, 1942, a daughter of the late Chester Grove and Henrietta Keener Grove.

Patricia was the loving wife of Harry G. McClelland, who preceded her in death March 19, 2018.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was also preceded in death by sisters, Eleanor Murphy, Joanne Grove and Connie Romantic.

Patty was a loving and devoted mother, mother- in-law and grandmother. She leaves behind her only child, Kenneth “Ken” McClelland and his wife, Sandy; and her only grandchild, Jacob “Jake” McClelland, who was the light of her life and whom she bragged about any time she had the chance. Patty is also survived by a sister, Janet Hartman of Vermillion, Ohio; a sister- in-law, Arlene Fullem and her husband, Charles “Chuck” of Uniontown; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Patty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and occasionally tried her luck at the local casinos.

Patty was a former employee of Uniontown newspapers retiring in 1997. She enjoyed the Herald Standard Retiree’s breakfast gatherings. Patty was a member of the Central Christian Church of Uniontown, where she faithfully served on many committees.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life for Patricia at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, in Central Christian Church, 23 S. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401, with the Rev. Heather Simpson officiating. Doors will open at 10 a.m. Handicapped parking is available, with additional parking behind the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Central Christian Church Living Endowment Fund, in memory of Patty.
