Sara Alberta Blizzard (formerly Ford), passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024. She was born October 19, 1944, in Ralph, the second-eldest of 10 children, with five brothers and four sisters.
She graduated from German Township High School in 1962 and moved to Washington, D.C. shortly thereafter.
Sara leaves behind her husband, Waverly; two stepchildren; two sisters, Shirley Byrd-Shako (Mike), and Brenda Riley; one brother, Ples Jones (Sandra); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Byrd; father, Mr. Ford; and six siblings.
Sara will be remembered for her gentle and mild spirit, having touched so many with her love and kindness.
