Donna L. Strickler Fleming, 85, of Fayette City, Jefferson Township, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown.
Born April 27, 1939, in Connellsville, she was the daughter of the late Donald R. and Charlotte Emma Lint Strickler. Also her birth mother, Margaret Evelyn Thomas Strickler, who passed away when Donna was three years old.
A resident of Fayette City for the past 60 years, Mrs. Fleming was a retired florist from Perry Floral, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Vanderbilt, where she was baptized on July 17, 1966. Donna was a devoted member of her church, was a member of the Ladies Uplift Circle, served as a Deaconess for many years and always helped with the yearly pumpkin roll fundraiser. She was an excellent baker, known for her peanut butter balls and chocolate chip nut rolls.
As a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, being a “Grammy” was her most cherished role and she found happiness in every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Denise Fleming of Fayette City, and Barbara and Paul DiNardo of Sunrise, Fla.; two grandchildren, Andrew P. DiNardo and Gianna M. DiNardo; great-grandson, Dominick John DiNardo; loving and caring cousin, Ada Patterson; loving niece, Wilma King, and many more loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Fleming.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty Street, Perryopolis, 724-736-2515. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Funeral Home with Brother Robert Nicklow Jr. and Brother Samuel Cuomo officiating. Private interment will take place in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery.
