Colin Dwight “Corky” Marks, 80, of Grindstone, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in his home, with his family by his side.

Colin was born December 4, 1944, a son of the late Charles and Dorothy Hepler Marks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Todd and Troy Marks; and siblings, Lester Marks and Anna Gremmer.

Colin, at the age of 19, enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve.

In 1965, he married his wife of 60 years. Corky provided for his family and with his wife, raised four children.

He retired from Maple Creek Mine after 32 years of service.

Colin is survived by his wife, Donna McConville Marks; his children, Scott Marks and wife Wendy of Grindstone, and Heidi Seti and husband John of Clarksburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; siblings, Miles Marks of Duluth, Minn., Faith Burton and husband Don of Uniontown, and Laura Marks-Miller of Ohio; mother-in-law, Roselyn McConville of Grindstone; and sister-in-law, Kelly Yeardie and husband Homer of Brownsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements are under the direction of DeGUSIPE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 65 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Stacey A. Dolfi, funeral director. Interment is private.
