Uniontown

Mr. Steve Winsler, Jr., 88, of Uniontown, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, in Peroni Personal Care Home.

He was born June 30, 1936, in Uniontown, to the late Steve Winsler, Sr. and Mary Zentkovich Winsler. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Elek.

Steve is survived by two sisters, Helen Kurnava of Uniontown and Agnes Metts of Bristol; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, and their children.

He graduated from South Union High School, and retired from Fruehauf Inc., working many years driving semi-trucks.

Steve was a member of St. John’s Byzantine Church in Uniontown, where he was a cantor for many years.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, Specialist 4th Class. Steve volunteered for many years with the Catholic War Veterans Honor Guard.

At the request of Steve, there will be no public services held.

He will be inurned at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with full military rites observed.
