Paula is survived by her loving husband, James Groves of Apollo Beach; children: Azby G. Boyd and wife Rinda Rae of Farmington; Abigail R. Boyd of Salisbury, N.C.; and Jennifer Boyd Ewing and husband J. David Ewing of Wimauma, Fla.; step-children: Cyndi Apone Deermount of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Jilda Apone of Pittsburgh; Jacqueline Apone of Pittsburgh; Karla Sabec of Farmington; and Thomas Apone of Olall, Wash.; her grandchildren: Alicia (Boyd) Jones of Seaford, Del.; Devon V. During her life, she was a wonderful, loyal and devoted wife, mother and friend. She could master anything that life threw at her. She was an awesome cook, baker and was a wiz at canning, teaching her children with a firm, but loving hand. She met life head-on and was always ready, willing and able to go with the flow and enjoy whatever came her way.

In later years, she worked at Nemacolin. She was the assistant manager of the Holiday Inn, co-manager at Seagate Towers in Delray Beach, Fla., and was a manager of the cosmetic sales counter for Clinic, Estee Lauder.

Paula loved everyone as much as they loved her, and that was just her way. We were and are blessed by having known her and her love.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 31, in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, where additional visitation will be held from 10 until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1. Interment will be held in Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
