Regina Nilson, 75, of Uniontown, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Monarch Meadows Personal Care Home.

She was born in Uniontown on November 6, 1949, to the late Theodore F. and Irene Kosco Budinsky.

Regina graduated from Laurel Highlands High School, class of 1967.

She married Mr. Walter Nilson; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1992.

Regina was a member of St. Mary Church.

Her early career was in travel, having worked for PANAM and for a travel agency. She later moved to Tennessee and worked for a church there for 10 years. She then retired from Community Action as a teacher’s aide.

Regina is survived by her son, John Nilson and wife, Catherine of Uniontown; two step-daughters, Eva and Noreen; eight grandchildren: Audrey, Aeryn, Amelia, Mary Grace, Paul, Matthew, Neil and Sean; a brother, Edward Budinsky and wife, Theresa of Greensboro; a close cousin, Patty Gadek of Uniontown; a sister-in-law, Mary Budinsky; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother, David Budinsk.

Memorial visitation will be held at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 13. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, at St. Mary Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.

Inurnment is in St. Mary Cemetery.
