Johnathan C. Lewis

Fairchance
Johnathan C. Lewis, 59, of Fairchance, passed away peacefully at home Friday, June 20, 2025, surrounded by friends and family after a year and a half long battle with stage four cancer.
He was born November 11, 1965, to Colin Lewis and Nancy Brandenburg in Baltimore, Maryland.
Johnathan was passionate about many things. Trains and baseball were two of his passions. He loved his dogs with his whole heart and was deeply devoted to God and his loving wife, Melissa.
Johnathan never had children of his own, but he loved his stepdaughter, Brianna and her wife, Ellie, as if they were his own.
Johnathan loved to travel and lived in many places around the country, taking in the adventures before settling down to live in Pennsylvania with his wife and pets.
Johnathan would do anything for anyone who needed it with no questions asked, always helping people without ever expecting anything in return. He loved deeply and wholeheartedly. He was a friend to many, and to know him was to love him. He never hesitated to help others and always wore his heart on his sleeve.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his mother and father, Colin and Nancy.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melissa; stepdaughter, Brianna and wife, Ellie; his dogs: Sophie, Ginger, Mimi and Ava; and many friends and family members.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at the GATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 136. N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown; where prayer service will be held at 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his family toward funeral expenses.
