Terry R. Wilson, 87, of Uniontown, passed from this life on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Monarch Meadow PCH where he resided for the last six years and where he acquired the name “Big T”. He was born September 12, 1937, in Brownsville, the older of two sons of the late Dalton L. and Violet E. Elliott Wilson.

Terry served in the United States Air Force from October 1955 until October 1959, having enlisted with friends, Harold Babbony and Richard Dreistadt. While in the service, he gained another lifelong friend in Donald “Ozzie” Ostrander, who also shared his love of Indian motorcycles. He was stationed in Florida and Louisiana, and talked about his travels, including to Madagascar.

In 1962, he married Esther Golden, with whom he shared just three months shy of 60 years when she predeceased him in June 2022. He was also predeceased by his first grandchild, Gregory Blaszczak in May 2021.

He was employed by Tingley Rubber Corp., New Jersey, and then for 30 years, until retirement, by Rockwell International, later named Sensus Technologies, of Uniontown.

Terry was not a member of any formal club / organization since he preferred riding his Harley to drop in on friends around the area whenever the mood struck him. He and Esther also took many car trips down South in the 80s and 90s. He was meticulous in his care of the lawn and in his organization of his home workshop area (or any area within his purview). During his time at Monarch Meadow, he was known for his love of sweets, cigarettes and handheld poker game. That can also be said of his life at home, along with his fondness for the Fabulous 50s.

Terry is survived by his three children: Karen L. Wilson Thompson (Tim), Ronald R. Wilson and Nancy L. Wilson Blaszczak (Greg). Five grandchildren are left to remember “Pappy Skunk”: Emily Blaszczak Gill (Chris), Benjamin Blaszczak, Katie Thompson, Parker Wilson and Blake Wilson. He also leaves behind his brother, Ken Wilson; Ken’s daughter, Kathy Rohde (Ron); two sisters-in-law, Eleanor McGee (Frank) and Carol Eichmiller and their children, Lisa McGee and J.J. Eichmiller; maternal relatives from Brownsville; and a number of friends.

The family wishes to thank OSPTA Hospice and all of the Monarch Meadow Staff, especially Kameshia, Sharon, Sammi, Jackie, Janet, Jody, and James.

Friends will be received in the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, and until 11 a.m., the hour of service, on Saturday, June 28, with Reverend Gloria Jun officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at adferguson.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
