Cecil Eugene Gladden, 69, of Martin, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, in his home.
He was born October 15, 1955, in Martinsburg, W.Va., a son of the late William and Veronica Helpter Gladden.
Cecil was a disabled veteran, who served as a Sgt. in the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football.
He was predeceased by his wife, Loretta A. Hopwood Gladden; his grandson, Jacob Clark; and several brothers and sisters.
Cecil is survived by his son, Gary Brady and wife Kendra; daughters, Mary B. Reckart and husband Frank, Samantha Clark and husband Beau; seven grandchildren, Steven Brady, Justin Brady, Aurora Clark, Toni Zartman, Gary Brady, Teri Mitchell, Robin Reckart; many great- grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Masontown, from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 17, and from 9:30 until the 10 a.m. hour of service Tuesday, March 18, in the Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will be accorded by Masontown VFW Post 4584 and American Legion Post 423.
Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
