Edith B. Buncic, 96, of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Mount Macrina Manor of Uniontown. She was born Wednesday, November 7, 1928, in Springhill Township, a daughter of the late Steve and Frances Seb Buncic.
She was a member of Saint Hubert Roman Catholic Church of Point Marion.
Edith had lived her entire life in Springhill Township. She was a farmer and worked with her family in the operation of the Buncic Family Dairy Farm.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve, Nick, George, Joe, John, Martin and Carl Buncic; her sisters, Mary Sholtis Anna Buncic, Frances Mrugala, Stella Urbania, and Rose Urbania.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth McElroy Morris; her nephew, John Urbania of Smithfield, whom she raised and cared for as a son; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 23, in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, Thomas B. Rudolph, funeral director and supervisor, 15 N. Main Street, Point Marion, where visitation continues Monday, March 24, from 10 until 10:30 a.m., when brief prayers will be said, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Saint Hubert Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Buncic Family Cemetery.
