Mara Lee Sim

Mara Lee Sim, 40, passed away unexpectedly, in her home, Monday, March 17, 2025. Mara was born September 4, 1984, in Uniontown, a daughter of Theresa L. Faust of Brownsville, and the late Dennis Sim of Washington.
Mara is also survived by her son, Blake Oaks of Pittsburgh; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and her special grand-cousin, Kenley Zidek.
Mara was employed as a bartender with Ridge Runner Distillery in Chalk Hill.
She graduated from Springdale High School in Pittsburgh and was studying online to become a paralegal.
In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed the company of her dog, Millie and her two cats, Lilac and Luna.
Mara served on the Patsy Hillman Park Board and was very active in her community. She was a volunteer advocate for parents and students in the local schools.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME in Brownsville, where family and friends will be received from 2 until 4 p.m., with a celebration of life immediately following, Saturday, March 29.
