Milagros “Mila” P. Mozie, 74, of McClellandtown, peacefully passed away Friday, May 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Mila was born March 12, 1951, in Angeles City, Philippines, to the late Dionisio Encila and Epifania P. Encila.
Mila met the love of her life, Jerome Mozie, while he was in the Air Force in the Philippines. Together they built a life filled with love and faith. They settled in Edenborn / McClellandtown, where they raised their family.
Mila’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a dedicated member of Signal of Light Full Gospel Church in Edenborn, where she found joy in serving her Lord, singing in the choir, and serving on the usher board. Her voice and her spirit uplifted those around her.
Outside the church, Mila dedicated her professional life to caring for others; she worked in the health care industry until her retirement.
Mila was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerome Mozie; her parents; and eight siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Victoria, Debra and Kimberly Mozie; grandchildren, Danzel Mozie, DeVante Mozie, Deon McKoy, D’iare McKoy, Donicio McKoy, Jaelyn Mozie, DeSean McKoy, Tavian Mozie, Devyn Harris, Antonio Efford, and Ky’Mora Mozie; her great- grandchildren; siblings, Rosaleo Encila and Arnitha Encila, both residing in the Philippines. Mila was a proud grandmother and her love and influence extended to many of her nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who adored her.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Wednesday, May 14, in the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 297 E. Main Street, Uniontown.
