Burton A. Tarr

Burton A. Tarr, 93, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Monarch Meadows Personal Care Home.
He was born January 8, 1933, in Uniontown, the son of the late Burton E. and Betty Jane Abel Tarr.
In addition to his parents, Burton was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Lucas Tarr October 30, 2025; sister, Margaret Jill King; and granddaughter, Kellie Jo Tarr.
Burton is survived by his children, Bonnie (Bill) Cox of Maryland, Kathy (Ralph) Fazenbaker of Lemont Furnace, Jackie Tarr (Tito) of Ohio, Burton (Kristy) Tarr of Florida, and David (Tracy) Tarr of Lemont Furnace; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He worked as a technician for Bell Telephone Company for 42 years before his retirement.
Burton Served in the U.S. Air Force.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff at Monarch Meadows and Amedisys Hospice.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, from 10 until the time of a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 7. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
