Mark A. Prah, Sr., 67, of McClellandtown, went to be with his Lord Sunday, January 11, 2026. He was born December 28, 1958, in Uniontown, a son of Frances Dzurilla Prah, who survives, and the late Frank B. Prah.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy; and brother, Charles.
He is survived by his wife, Lu Ann Kopacko Prah; his children, Mark A. (Bethany) Prah Jr. of New Salem, and Tiffany Prah of McClellandtown; his grandchildren, Penelope, Violet and Sawyer Prah; his brothers, Anthony (Barbara) Prah and Frank (Cheryl) Prah; sister, Christine Prah Koch; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Mark retired from the Fort Martin Power Plant after 36 years of service.
He was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Church, the Fairbanks Gun Club and Messmore Gun Club, the Footdale Fire Hall and the New Boro Indians Club, Camp Father and Son, Camp Newman and Camp ICU.
He enjoyed hunting out West, bear hunting in Potter County, and fishing. He loved his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Poppy. He liked to farm, was mechanically inclined and a master craftsman, was a man of faith and took his mother to church every Saturday night. He was known for his World Famous Chicken and was booked weekly to cook his famous chickens for events, charities and organizations.
Visitation in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Extension, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 15. Friday Prayers of Transfer at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa 15401. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery.
