In the first hour of February 27th, 2026, Jack Snyder Jr. sadly passed away at the age of 69 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in the Transplant ICU. Surrounded by his loved ones, after a long and courageous battle with autoimmune hepatitis and the complications associated, Jack passed into God’s hands.

Jack was co-owner and machinist at the family business, Bailey Machine Shop, and had worked there for over 40 years.

Jack was the son of the late Lorraine and Jack Snyder Sr. and was the son-in-law of the late Thomas Bailey and his surviving wife Janice. Jack was married to the love of his life, Joni for 43 years and they had two beautiful daughters together, Lindsi Mahokey (Brian), and Kayelin Butela (Ryan). His loving brother Mark Snyder (Paula) was also by his side. His brother-in-law, and business partner, Joe Bailey (Lori) also deeply mourn his passing. One of Jack’s greatest joys in life was his grandchildren. Maddox, Alyana, and Emma.

He loved nothing more than to be with them as much as possible and nothing brought him more joy than to be the best father, pappy, and person he could be to everyone. He showed his love to many as it knew no bounds, and his nieces and nephews; Ashley, Brandon, Jesse, AJ, and Jill were always in his heart. He is also survived by his beloved Aunts, Jane Snyder and June Ann Dulick (John). Jack was also the so-called, “adoptive” father to many. He so genuinely cared for so many people. Jack also loved his grand dogs, Red, Maggie, and Maverick and we are sure he is now reunited with his buddy Rambo feeding him Egg McMuffins in heaven.

Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME LLC 123 S. 1st St. West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033 on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. the time of service with Pastor Steve Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in Dickerson Run Cemetery.

Jack (and family) are/were very active parishioners of the Albright United Methodist Church and have been for many years. Jack was a leader and a rock for many in life. His faith in God ensures he is with Him. We have peace knowing that, and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to Albright United Methodist Church in South Connellsville.
