Delroy Blaine Young, 91, of Point Marion, formerly of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019, in his home, following a lengthy illness, with his loving family at his side. Born January 8, 1928, in Oak Ridge, he was a son of the late Blaine and Bernice Ryder Young.

A farmer for many years, he was also a skilled backhoe operator, and a member of the Operators Union 18.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois Jean Fisher Young; son Eugene James Young of Arlington, Tenn.; five daughters, Wendy Busch of Jefferson, Ohio, Donna Jean Young and Michelle Louise Hyde, both of Point Marion, Lois Ann Young of Birmingham, Ala, and Carleita Kay Lambert of New Lyme, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Bonnie Gohn of Hubbard, Ohio.

There will be no public visitation. A funeral service in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Carmichaels is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, followed by a gathering of friends and reception at 4 p.m. at daughter Michelle Hyde's home at 863 New Geneva Road, Point Marion. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion.
