Donald Raymond “Don” Taylor, 78, of Dunbar, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at his home with loving family by his side. He was born June 27, 1941 in Balsinger, Pa.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond Donald Taylor and Edith Marie (Rankin) Taylor; a grandchild, Suzanne Nichole Lawrence Hickle; and two brothers, Roger and Robert Wayne Taylor.

Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a long-distance truck driver working out of Teamsters Local 491. Don was a member of the First Christian Church of New Salem and a Life Member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Irene Stacia (Sharp) Taylor; four children, Ricky Lee Taylor and friend Mary of Royal, James Edward Taylor and wife Cathy of Dunbar, Peggy Sue Armel and husband Robert of Adah, and Doris Jean Saenz of Arvada, Colo.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, Sandra Mansberry of Big Brownfield, Linda Smalley and husband John of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Betty Hromada and husband Dave of Uniontown, Patty Glisan of Markleysburg, Donna Thompson and husband Merle and Brenda Taylor and Deborah Taylor, all of Uniontown.

Friends will be received in the SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 South Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Andy Miles officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance.
