Francis Paul Steve “Frank”, 69, of South Fayette Nursing Center, Markleysburg, Pa., formerly of Lake Lynn, Pa. passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018.

Frank was a resident of Lake Lynn for most of his life.

He was a miner at the Emerald Mine in Greene County before he left their employment.

Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran serving tours in Vietnam.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Steve Sr., his mother, Virginia M. Steve and a brother, Joseph A. Steve Jr.

Surviving are his brothers, George W. Steve (Charmaine) Lake Lynn, Pa., Bernard E. Steve (Kathleen) Smithfield, Pa., John D. Steve (Catherine), Waynesburg, Pa. and Michael L. Steve (Donna), Smithfield, Pa.; sisters, Kathryn Albright, Scott Depot, W.Va., Anna Monson (Lyle), Scottsdale, Arizona, Mary Ann Giammalvo (Vincent), Easley, South Carolina, Susan Mandolesi (Henry), Lake Lynn, Pa., Margaret Wilson (Wayne), Berlin, Maryland and Mildred C. Pye (Stan) Williamson, Georgia; godchildren, Dr. Angela Moore, Grove City, Ohio and Cecelia Barker, Eleanor, W.Va. also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 27, 2018 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Ss. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa. with Rev. Gade Show Reddy as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva, Pa. with Military Rites being accorded by Point Marion Veterans’ Honor Guard.
