Georges Township, Pa.

Joseph "Joe" Riedmann Sr., 70, of Georges Township, passed away at home into eternal life with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ Wednesday, September 4, 2019, with his loving family at his side.

He was born December 13, 1948 in Uniontown, a son of the late Vincent Riedmann and Cecelia "Lou" (Boni) Riedmann.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Joyce (Wise) Riedmann; two sons, Joseph Riedmann Jr. and wife Mary and Jason Riedmann and wife Cheryl; five grandchildren, Cole and Luke, Matthew and wife Erika, Danny and wife Ashley and Joshua and wife Vanessa; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Elsie; brother, Chuck and Pam Riedmann; sister, Trena Riedmann Humphreys; many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and a very close cousin, Jim Boni.

Joe served in the U.S. Army Military Police from 1969 to 1971.

He was employed for many years as an auto mechanic at local area dealerships.

Joe attended the First Baptist Church in Fairchance and served as a custodian along with his wife Joyce.

He loved being outside, gardening, hunting and helping people. He loved his family and being a Pappy.

The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, on Saturday 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, September 9, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 17 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance. The Funeral Service begins at 10 a.m. with Pastor Pete Malik and Pastor Robert Wrachford officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Georges Township with Military Rites being accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103.

In lieu of flowers due to medical issues, memorial contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 17 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 or E.B.A.C. Orphanage in Haiti c/o Dunbar Baptist Church, 22 Speers Hill, First Avenue, Dunbar, PA 15431.
