Loretta Rae Wilson Lang, 82, of Scandia, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Kinzua Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Loretta was born June 25, 1937, in Waltersburg, a daughter of the late Clyde Raymond Wilson Sr. and Manila Mae Mossburg Wilson.
She graduated from Uniontown High School, California State College, and later earned two master's degrees from West Virginia University. She was an elementary school teacher, and retired as a reading specialist from the Warren County School District.
Loretta was a member of the Youngsville Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and family.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Gene A. Lang of Scandia; two daughters, Lara Lang of Tuscon, Ariz., and Lori Utegg of Warren; two grandsons, Damian Sweet and Brandon Sweet of Warren; one sister, Audrey (Grace) Wilson Sutton and brother-in-law Marvin Duane Sutton of Smithfield; one brother, Clyde Raymond Wilson Jr. and sister-in-law Cindy Polanka Wilson of Baltimore, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, October 2, at PETERSON-BLICK FUNERAL HOME, INC., with the Reverend Richard Sheriff officiation. Burial followed in Scandia Cemetery.
