Michael Scott Walters, 41, of Smithfield, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019, with loving family by his side, after losing his battle with glioblastoma. He was born April 16, 1978, a son of Beverly Workman Walters of Smithfield and Michael D. Walters of Ohio.
Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Retha Workman, and Hershel and Evelyn Walters; and an uncle, Thomas Maust.
Scott was a 1997 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and received his degree in welding from Laurel Business Institute. He enjoyed his trade for 10 years before his untimely retirement with a diagnosis of cancer.
Scott was a hardcore Steelers fan and was a sports enthusiast. He grew up playing baseball and wrestling.
Left to cherish Scott’s memory are his parents; his children, Payton and Kaleb Walters; a brother, Robert Walters; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to FERGUSON-BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 78 Main Street, Smithfield, PA 15478.
A memorial service celebrating Scott’s life will be announced at a future date.
