Regina Irene Harbarger Hornsby Wooten


Regina Irene Harbarger Hornsby Wooten, 70, of Uniontown, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019, at her residence. She was born September 8, 1949, in Uniontown.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Isaac Harbarger and Mary Baughman Harbarger; husband Harry Hornsby; second husband William Wooten; son Harry Hornsby Jr.; and three sisters, Mildred Swaney, Linda Weasonforth and Sarah Mae McCozie.

Regina lived in the Uniontown area most of her life and worked as a childcare provider as well as a Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver of elderly patients. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God, where she taught Sunday school for several years. Regina had varied interests that included reading, cooking and baking.

Left to cherish her memory are four children, Reginald Harbarger and wife Maria of Bluffton, S.C., Jeanie Moore and husband Earl of Smithfield, Brian Hornsby and wife Hope of Bluffton, S.C., and Travis Hornsby of Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, Karen Doty and husband Mac of Plano, Texas, Claudia Harbarger of Uniontown, Riley Harbarger of Brownsville, Josephine Harbarger, Arnold Harbarger and Donald Harbarger, all of Phoenix, Ariz., and Isaac Harbarger of Charlotte, N.C.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Tuesday, December 3, in SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, with Mr. Jim Howell officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the National Blood Clot Alliance, 267 Kentlands Boulevard, #2025, Gaithersburg, MD 20878, in the hope that awareness can be raised, that others at risk can be treated and live full, happy lives.
