State police charged a Smithfield man Tuesday in connection to an alleged rape in Springhill Township. Joseph Glenn Hardin, 37, faces felony charges of rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors. According to the criminal complaint, earlier this year the alleged victim reported to police that Hardin had raped her in May 2022 when she was 13 years old. Charles Isaac Green, 48, also faces misdemeanors of simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
