Continental #2

Richard Thomas "Caveman" "Cave" Kolesar Sr., 63, was promoted to Heaven Thursday, November 7, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Rich, a lifelong resident of Continental #2, was born October 26, 1956, to the late Joseph and Dorothy Boskovich Kolesar.

After graduating from Fairchance George's High School in 1974, he started working for Gebe and Skocik Tire and remained employed there until being diagnosed with cancer in September of 2018.

In 1982, he married his one and only true love, Shirley Ewart Kolesar. Rich was blessed with two children, Rachelle (David) Hermes of Orange, Va., and Rich (Ashley) Kolesar of Uniontown; and grandsons Michael and Preston Hermes.

Rich loved spending time with his family, especially the many trips to the Kolesar Family cabin in Cameron County. He enjoyed watching football, deer hunting and gardening. He attended Cherry Tree Alliance Church.

He was the best example of contentment. He could fix almost anything and spent many happy hours helping his kids fix up their homes.

He will be deeply missed by his family, including his brother, Tony (Lana) Kolesar of Continental #3, Susan (Jim) Knapp of Uniontown and Cathy (Keith) Hall of Home.

Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 10, at Cherry Tree Alliance Church, 640 Cherry Tree Lane, Uniontown, PA 15401. Further visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, November 11, when a service will be held in the church, with Pastor David Goodin officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Uniontown.

Arrangements are in the care of STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown. Tributes welcome at ww.hakyfuneralhome.com.
