Robert Earl Foltz, age 82, passed away on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2019 at Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg, where he resided since October, 2018.

He was born in Uniontown on July 8, 1936, a son of the late Charlette Merryman.

He is survived by his beloved Missy of 25 years; sister, Anne Rene Schafer; and friends, Charles Smitty and Helen Walters of Fairchance.

He was formerly of Hopwood and also resided in Uniontown, Greensburg and Syracuse, N.Y.

Bob graduated from Uniontown High School and West Virginia University.

He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. where he was an E-4 from 1958-1963. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Uniontown, the American Legion Post 51, AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Polish Club of Uniontown, where he was President of the Bowling League in the ’90s and Cheer’s Bowling League. Bob was employed by W.M.B.S. Radio from 2001 to 2010 where he was a talk show host. He hosted “Let’s Talk” talk show from 1 to 3 p.m. daily.

A Memorial Service and various events will be held in Uniontown on Saturday, May 18, starting at 3 p.m. at the War Memorial, 4 to 6 p.m. at Story Square (Gus’s Pub will serve food at 5 p.m.) and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nemacolin Courtyard where a Candle Light Vigil will be held (bring your own candle).
