SALISBURY – To give residents a chance to learn more about the services available from his office and ask state-related questions, Rep. Matthew Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) will hold an open house on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 4-7 p.m. at the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, Suite 200, 65 W. Main St., Uniontown.
Leaders from businesses who were named winners in the Herald Standard’s Community Choice Awards are encouraged to attend and receive a certificate of appreciation from Dowling. Certificates will be presented throughout the night. RSVPs are suggested but not required. For additional information, please call Dowling’s district office at 724-438-6100.
“All residents of the district are invited to take a break from their busy holiday schedules to talk about state issues and enjoy some light refreshments at my office. The open house is, of course, a great time to ask questions or share concerns about state-related issues,” Dowling said.
The event is open to residents of the 51st District, which includes part of Fayette County consisting of the city of Uniontown and the townships of Georges, German, Henry Clay, Nicholson, South Union, Springfield, Springhill, Stewart and Wharton and the boroughs of Fairchance, Markleysburg, Ohiopyle, Point Marion and Smithfield; and Part of Somerset County consisting of the townships of Addison, Elk Lick, Lower Turkeyfoot, Summit and Upper Turkeyfoot and the boroughs of Addison, Confluence, Garrett, Meyersdale, Salisbury and Ursina.
