LAS VEGAS (AP) — Federal data indicates a Las Vegas suburb was Nevada's fastest-growing city for the second year in a row.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports figures released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Thursday show the city of Henderson grew by nearly 10,800 people from 2017 to 2018.
The state's second largest city with about 310,000 residents has grown by more than 50,000 people since 2010.
Las Vegas added about 9,000 people from 2017 to 2018, recording a population of nearly 645,000 residents.
The data shows a narrow margin between the state's third and fourth largest cities. The city of North Las Vegas has about 5,000 fewer residents than Reno.
