Roberts has right to appeal It is no secret that someone at the Herald-Standard has a personal problem with state Rep. Larry Roberts.
But regarding your recent article, I have a question. Are you actually suggesting that just because Larry Roberts is a state representative, he should not be entitled to a fair and accurate assessment?
It seems to me that you should be more concerned with how Mr. Roberts’ three professional appraisals were ignored by the Appeal Board. According to your article, Mr. Roberts presented three appraisals and a realtor’s review for his property.
If three professional appraisals (including one done by the chief assessor) and a realtor’s report are not good enough to be successful in an appeal, how can anyone expect to be able to prove their assessment is wrong? And what does this all say for the reassessment process?
