Danger in living wills

3 min read

I witnessed two people who were not ill and could have lived until God was ready for them but were murdered by starvation because they signed living wills. The root of this was money. The first two things we will be judged for is fear and unbelief. Who has the power over your life and soul – man or God? Did you sign a living will? The living will is nothing but a piece of paper, that if you sign it, you give man power to murder you by neglect or starvation. And you doctors of deception that prescribe pills that take away the appetite and this other garbage that is administered as medicine, God will demand an answer from you one day.

Because, God does not drop judgment on sin right away, man continues in it – but judgment’s coming and you’ve got the word on it.

Deplorable road conditions

For several years my husband and I have been involved with missionary endeavors in Haiti. He has been there seven times and I, twice. We have experienced their roads. On one trip it took us well over 2 hours to go 35 miles. It is all but impossible to describe such conditions to anyone who has never been there.

But, if someone would like to get an idea of what it must be like, the nearest road I can suggest is Town Country Road from Flatwoods to Route 51. We are senior citizens who live there and must travel that road often. Another stretch is from Route 51 to Grindstone on Tippiecanoe Rd. with some of the guiderail posts hanging in empty space.

The tiny country of Haiti is known to be the poorest one in the Western Hemisphere, while the U.S. is the most powerful nation on earth. This ought to tell us something.

About two years ago I read of a lady who had wrecked because she hit a large pothole and she was suing PennDOT. I do not know how that turned out, but it is something to think about.

Santa in suits

I don’t normally write letters to the editor but what I saw today can’t be ignored.

I took my daughter to pre-school this morning and went to a Uniontown store to finish my Christmas shopping. As I was walking up the parking lot, I saw a somewhat elderly lady standing by her car. You could see that she was upset. She had a flat tire. Also there were two men dressed in suits and ties.

You know that it had snowed this weekend, and the parking lot was a mess. But it didn’t seem to matter to these two men. They were trying to help change her tire. I stood there and stared for a few seconds with disbelief at how nice they were.

I went into the store and was in a department shopping when I overheard two employees talking about it. I commented to them that I had seen them also and couldn’t believe that people in suits would risk getting dirty and having to work in those same clothes all day. I was informed that the two men were the store manager and assistant manager.

I’m sure these two men had a million things to do in their store being 10 days before Christmas, but they dropped everything and in their attire they chose to help someone in need.

The only thing that came to my mind is there really is a Santa Claus.
