Why were teens out so late?
Government gambles on social evil Gov.-elect Rendell’s plans have been called a “sound agenda.” Hah! Eventually it will evolve into a typical political debacle: wasting more of taxpayers’ money, creating more government, introducing more freebees, keeping more people on the dole.
Our commonwealth is becoming obsessed with gambling. Many are addicted. Watch for more gambling to be approved. Gambling is not a victimless crime. Any student of the Bible knows that God detests gambling which diverts money from the home, the church, the neighborhood and charities. It is robbing Peter to pay Paul. The Power Ball game is obscene. Soon, there will be a slot machine on every corner.
Also, look for booze to be sold in such locations as supermarkets. Unless one has his head in the sand, booze is our greatest social evil – a heinous evil.
The statistics readily prove this. DUIs will increase. The next fatality caused by a drunken driver could be one of our loved ones.
Abortion will continue unabated. Rendell is pro-choice which is strictly a cop-out. Pro-choice amounts to “do you want your abortion on Tuesday or on Friday?”
History is full of the fates of once powerful governments that became ungodly. As examples, consider the Roman and British empires. Someone said that if we do not benefit from history, we end up living it. Our once great nation is rapidly heading in that direction.
