New thoughts on 30-year conflict

4 min read

Few people are aware that the real purpose of this stab-and-collapse-the-brain atrocity is strictly for financial and research purposes. The abortion doctor and facility are paid by biotech labs for the fresh specimen on which to experiment and do research for therapeutic use. When does the purposeful destruction of one human life at any stage justify tinkering with that embryo, fetus, all-but-born baby or helpless older or defective person for possible therapeutic help another human?Focus on the Family radio broadcasts Jan. 20 and 21 gives new informationon human life issues. Pittsburgh stations WPIT 730 AM and WORD 101.5 FM offer these topics: Abortion: A Breast Cancer Link, Jan. 20 and 21; Abortion and the Church, Jan. 22; and Reaching Hearts on Abortion. Times are 7:30 a.m., noon and 8 p.m.

The choices made

Mankind has always had the ability to choose. Adam and Eve were given a choice in the Garden of Eden. The apple of the Tree of Knowledge was forbidden and the eating of it would spell death, but a choice was made.

Cain made a choice in regard to his brother and murder entered the world. Noah made a choice to listen to the warnings of God even in the face of his neighbors’ ridicule, but there were many who did not and they perished. Those of Sodom and Gomorrah made a choice to follow evil, and they were destroyed. Lot escaped but his wife made a choice and turned into a pillar of salt. Sarah made a decision in regard to Hagar and many believe we are still suffering from wars because of this choice.

When Moses went up to Mt. Sinai the Israelite children made a choice to follow a pagan god of their own creation: the golden calf. David made a choice with Bathsheba; temptation is a powerful thing. Barabbas was chosen over Christ. A Holy Man verses a criminal, and mankind made his choice.

Choice on earth – oh, but how dire the consequences when choice is made forgetting the laws of God. Man has always wanted to control his own destiny to be God. First to take life into his own hands and end it at his will. Although resounding through the halls of time is the admonition: Thou shall not kill! Abort your natural child and create one yourself, in your own image. Two voices, it is a choice. Call it a scientific breakthrough: cloning.

Has mankind learned nothing from the lessons of the ages? Only confusion and destruction will result if choices are made without the wisdom of God.

Mother Teresa stated, “The greatest threat to world peace is abortion.” The slaughter of the unborn child robs the world of both peacemakers and soldiers; the absence of either leaves society defenseless. The death of the innocents leaves a wide path for the destruction of all others. We, who live in this culture of death, now contemplate the specter of war; for by the silence of the lambs all face the slaughter.

Indeed there is choice on Earth. Pray we embrace natural God-given life, the pathway to peace.

Call to prayer

The 30th anniversary of the infamous Supreme Court decision Roe vs. Wade occurs on Wednesday. Citizens of Fayette County and surrounding areas should join their hearts in prayer and their voices to protest the killing of innocent pre-born by abortion. The killing must stop.

I strongly urge all my fellow American citizens to show the whole nation and the whole world we care about human life and do our part to stop abortions. We are a “land of the free” with the First Constitutional Right to Life.
