Missing soldiers
At a time when all of America is celebrating the repatriation and safe return of our POWs from the war in Iraq, the Tiger Cage walk on April 22 through Uniontown was a cold reminder of our other brothers and sisters from other wars who have never been accounted for. Mr. Bletz and his entourage consisted of Vietnam Veterans and members of Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 from Mt. Pleasant, Mich. To all these gentlemen, “Thank you and well done.”
As for the home front, Fayette County, our thanks go to the Uniontown mayor’s office for all its cooperation, without which the event may not have taken place. The Uniontown City Police and the Pennsylvania State Police provided police escorts the entire way. The various veterans organizations who provided logistics support, Amvets Post 103 and VFW Post 47.
The Rolling Thunder Pennsylvania Chapter 5 for coordinating the Fayette County phase of this project. The Uniontown Holiday Inn which provided rooms for Mr. Bletz and his entourage and the Fayette County Viet Nam Veterans Inc. and their honor guard.

A bobble-head party
This is for Sens. Spector and Santorum and U.S. Rep. Shuster. Do you ever read what you vote on? I’m sure you don’t, or you wouldn’t vote for this tax cut.
The Republican party didn’t say one word when a half-dozen companies gave up their American citizenship and set up “dummy” addresses in Bermuda to keep from paying hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes, yet are given billions in defense contracts.
Now the Republican Party wants to make their dividends tax-free. I know your party leaders say they need the money for new jobs, but they didn’t say what country they were going to invest the money in, either Iraq or maybe Cuba? (It appears Cuba is next on the Republican agenda.) You Republican politicians are like the bobble head dolls, whenever your masters come into the room, your heads go up and down. I’m now forced to change the name I use to refer to the Republican Party. It should now be officially known as “The Bobble Head Party”.

Is this a conflict?
In a rebuttal to Mr. Cavanagh’s letter about a gentleman he had a conflict with, he stated that they were central committee people who supported Commissioner Vicites. That is his personal conflict.
But in a professional conflict, doesn’t holding a real estate license and being a commissioner cause a huge conflict of interest – knowing of land development areas, what areas, what laws are available?
You cannot represent the people and your own interest at the same time.
As a commissioner you’re paid to represent the people. A commissioner is a full time job – not on call and supplementing your income with a second job. This is a conflict in many ways.
