Moore thanked for park signs

2 min read

We want to thank Robin Moore of Noah’s Ark for coming to our rescue and putting up signs in our park. Since the signs went up violence has decreased tremendously. Children can enjoy their birthday parties and the ducks are swimming peacefully on the pond once again. We are desperately in need of the cement and posts that the council has promised us to secure these signs in the ground before the winter winds come and blow them down. This would only mean open house for the vandals. A volunteer worker has promised Moore that he would do the work. I have rounded up a couple of volunteer workers to help him if needed. Perhaps if these signs would have been put up sooner, we would not have been faced with the incident when a little boy was attacked by several teen-agers and kicked in the groin, and left on the ground kicking and screaming. I have taken it upon myself to organize a Watchful Eye Program for the park. Many residents have agreed to keep their eyes open while in the park and report any unnecessary mischief that they see taking place there.

We only have two attractions here in Fairchance. One is the skating rink and the other is the park, and we intend to keep them. Now that the park is under watch it is much safer for the community.

Everyone is welcome to our park just remember enjoy it don’t destroy it.

More people need to attend these council meetings and get involved as to make Fairchance a better and safer place to live.
